The visit begins with a journey through time, through an animated reproduction that takes us back 45,000 years and shows us the glacial fauna that inhabited the region of the Picos de Europa.<\/h5>\n

THE CENTER<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Cuevona de Av\u00edn<\/strong>, in whose interior is located the Glacial Fauna Visitors Center<\/span><\/strong>It is a large cavity with a small stream flowing inside.<\/p>\n

In addition to its natural attraction, it has several life-size reproductions of the megafauna<\/span> that inhabited the area during the Pleistocene<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Glacial Fauna Visitors Center <\/span>offers a 45-minute<\/span> guided tour<\/span> of the interior of the<\/span> Cuevona de Av\u00edn<\/span>.<\/p>\n

During the visit, life-size reconstructions<\/span> of some of the extinct species<\/span> that inhabited the area during the Pleistocene<\/span> era are shown.. All of them present in the local fossil record.<\/span><\/p>\n

Passes begin at the hour on the dot<\/span>, so it is recommended to arrive at the entrance of the C.I. about 10 minutes before the time <\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Speleology in the cave of La Peruyal ( Activity NOT AVAILABLE)<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Guided speleology activity for the whole family inside the Peruyal Cave, where you can see a real complete skeleton of a prairie rhinoceros<\/strong>, unique in its species!<\/a><\/p>\n

The minimum age is 8 years old<\/strong> and the maximum age will depend on physical condition.
We organize 2 passes for a maximum of 8 people.<\/p>\n

The guides provide equipment<\/strong>: caving suit, helmet and headlamp.<\/p>\n
